Fuel Gauge Electrical

Electrical Fuel Level gauges indicate the fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

This type of VDO fuel level gauge is matched to the VDO Dip-tube type fuel senders (vary between 60 to 90 ohms at empty to ~3 Ohms full), which is required to provide the gauge with the correct input resistance. The gauges have an adjustment potentiometer accessible from the side of the casing to adjust the empty position (to match a particular length of VDO dip-tube fuel sender).

The gauge is supplied with a standard white T10 illumination bulb and 2 coloured bulb covers that can be used to change the night illumination colour from white to green or red. It is supplied with the VDO spin-lok fixing ring.

Oil pressure sensor

These pressure sender units suit VDO electrical oil, fuel or air pressure (boost) gauges. Some senders are earthed. Other senders are not earthed, i.e. earth is supplied by a separate connection. Pressure senders can be fitted with an additional warning contact in order to indicate when the pressure limit has been reached, as well as carrying out continuous measurement.

• Common ground connection is made through the unit threads

T pieces and adaptors to suit various applications are available separately.

Dual Station Oil Pressure Senders

All these pressure sensor/senders are designed to work with VDO gauges ONLY.

• These senders are for dual station installations (1 sender for 2 gauges)
• Senders are matched to gauges according to the maximum reading on dial face.
• Note - NPTF = NPT Fine
• A "B" in the part number refers to packaging and can be ignored
• "ID Stamp" (Component Reference #) is a short-hand sender identification code stamped onto the hex nut on the sender
• Standard Ground = sender is grounded by being screwed into the engine block
• Floating Ground = sender has an isolated terminal for a ground wire to be led to a common ground
• As noted in the Spec Table, some gauges have a separate contact for a warning indicator activation at a specified pressure

The Viewline rudder angle instrument for wheel-controlled yachts and pleasure boats displays the current rudder position at all times. This indicator makes it easier to navigate out of harbors or through locks. The gauge is available in 52 and 85 mm installation diameters. Only rudder instruments of the same diameter can be combined.

Speedometer Gauge

SingleViu instruments represent the latest technology in instruments, and offer a top of the line solution by being able to work directly with traditional analog senders or work directly off a J1939 CAN network. Each SingleViu gauge has it's own microprocessor, which allows it to have a dual-input capability that can be switched from it's default analog input to J1939 CAN via the SingleViu Configuration software . Each speedometer or tachometer can also the display the J1939 system fault codes. 

These features, along with waterproof and fog proof construction, RGB LED illumination and advanced stepper motors make SingleViu the ideal solution when traditional gauges are needed or desired.

The classic electronic Sumlog provides an analogue speed display up to 50 knots and a clearly readable digital display with various functions: for example trip, distance, water temperature.

The accuracy of the display is +/- 2.5%. Operating voltage: 8-32 volts. Current consumption: less than 150 mA, with integrated warning light.

In addition there is a warning light for an individually set speed limit. The device has a reverse polarity, a paddle-wheel and an NMEA input for active NMEA 0183. Diameter: 85 mm. Give the instrument a stylish look with an additional chrome ring (sold separately).
